  1. Important Notes
  • Please read this operation manual carefully before use.
  • The ambient temperature of this product is 16C-40C, and the optimal temperature of this product is 25 C.
  • Do not use this product in an environment with temperature range of over 40 C or below 10 C.
  • Do not place this product too close to a charged object so as to avoid electric shock.
  • Do not use this product in an environment with relative humidity of over 85%.
  • Do not place this product too close to electromagnetic range (such as radio and mobile phone).
  • Do not expose this product to the sun or near the stove, and never make this product exposed to water.
  • Do not collide or drop this product, and do not use it if it is damaged.
  • The hair on the forehead, sweat, hat or scarf may weaken the accuracy of the measurement data.
  • Please make sure that the measurement distance is not larger than 5cm.
  • In order to obtain accurate, stable and reliable measurement data, when indoor temperature changes sharply, this product should be placed in the room for 15-20 minutes before use.
  • When forehead temperature fails to normally indicate body temperature for such reasons as forehead sweat, please measure the temperature behind the earlobe.
  • When cleaning is required, please gently wipe the surface of this product with alcohol.
  • In case of any problem with this product, please contact the distributor and do not attempt to repair it by yourself.
  • Due to production batch or upgrade, this product may have different functions. Product in kind prevails.

Body temperature of the measured object is displayed by measuring the heat radiation from the forehead.

This product consists of an LCD screen, an infrared probe, a PCBA circuit board, a plastic shell, buttons and a buzzer.

 “Setting” button:

Press and Hold – to switch between body temperature and object temperature measurement modes;

Press – to switch between F1/F2/F3/F4 modes;

“F1” button: It can be used to set alarm temperature; you can press “+”/ “-“ button to increase/decrease measurement deviation;

“F2” button: It can be used to set temperature deviation; you can press “+”/ “-“ button to increase/decrease deviation;

“F3” button: It can used to turn on/off the buzzer; you can press “+”/ “-“ button to turn it on/off;

“F4” button: It can be used to switch between Celcius (C) and Fahrenheit (F), you can press “+”/ “-“ button to switch;

“+” key: Press – Page Up for memory data query (a total of 32 sets of data);

“-“ key: Press – Page Down for memory data query;

“Turn On/Off” button: Press it to turn on the device, and press it again to measure temperature (it will enter standby mode after 15 seconds of idling);

  1. How to Use

Unpacking

  • Open the single packed color-box, take out the plastic box containing the thermometer, open the plastic box, and then take out the thermometer.

Preventive Inspection

  • The thermometer should be calibrated before measurement so as to check the function of all components and maintain the good performance of the thermometer.
  • Sufficient power supply should be ensured.
  • After the thermometer is packaged, it is allowed to be transported by usual means of transportation, but it should be free from rain, moisture, squeeze and mechanical collision.

  • Anthropometric Measurement
  • Press the measure button to turn on the device, and the thermometer will automatically detect and display measurement result on the full screen, as shown in Figure (7-1).
  • Switch the thermometer to Human Body Temperature Mode, and then measure the human body temperature, as shown in Figure (7-2).
  • Align the thermometer probe with the center of the forehead and keep it vertical, with the distance of about 1-5cm from the forehead, and begin to measure as shown in Figure (7-3). When the measurement is completed, the thermometer will emit a (beep) sound and display the measurement result. If the body temperature exceeds the temperature alarm point, it will emit (beep-beep-beep) to give an alarm.
  • Upon the completion of the measurement, if there is no other operation, auto power-off takes place after about 15 seconds.

Body Temperature Measurement Mode

If the measured temperature is lower than 37.5 C, the green back light will be displayed, as shown in Figure (7-4). If the measured temperature is higher than or equal to 38.0 C, the red backlight will be displayed, and it will emit (beep-beep-beep) sound to give an alarm, as shown in Figure (7-5).

Note: If there are great differences in skin color and thickness, body parts measured or great changes in the ambient temperature, the measurement result may differ greatly. This is a normal phenomenon, because the body parts that are exposed to the air are more likely to be affected the environmental temperature.

  1. Contraindications, Precautions, Warnings
  • Contraindications
  • No reference value prevails for body temperature. Please consult your physician if you have a fever.
  • Patients in a coma and at terminal stage.

  • Precautions
  • This product is a medical infrared thermometer that professionally measures the human body temperature. The measured temperature varies according to the difference of human skin.
  • When indoor temperature changes sharply, the medical infrared thermometer should be placed indoors for 20 minutes before use.
  • When the person to be measured comes from a place with great difference in temperature from the measurement environment, he/ she should stay in the test environment for at least five minutes until measurement environment is consistent with ambient temperature before measurement.
  • The environment around the person to be measured should be stable. Measurement should not be carried out in place with large airflow, such as fans and air outlets of air conditioners.
  • Do not use this product outdoors or in sun-exposed areas.
  • Do not hold the front of the thermometer during measurement.
  • The measurement places must not be covered by hair. In case of sweat, please wipe it with a dry towel before measurement. Otherwise, the measurement result will be affected.
  • Excessively low measurement result may be obtained from a patient suffering from fever, whose forehead is subjected to cold compress, sweating and other cooling measures. Measurement should be avoided in this case.
  • After replacement of parts (such as battery) and main engine at the end of service life may cause measurement error and inaccuracy. In this case, please handle according to local laws and regulations.
  • Warnings
  • Make sure to remove the hair and sweat from the forehead before measuring.
  • Usage of this product is not a substitute for physician diagnosis.
  • Please contact the seller in case of any malfunctions, but do not attempt to repair it by yourself.
  • The protective glass outside LCD frame is very important, and it is also a fragile part of this product. Please use it with care.
  • Do not recharge non-rechargeable battery or throw battery into fire.
  • Do not expose this product to the sun and the water.
  1. Battery Installation and Replacement

  • Open the battery cover and replace the battery. Please ensure the correct position of the positive and negative electrodes.
  • Do not use rechargeable battery. Disposable battery should be used. Use alkaline battery whenever possible.
  • When this product is idle, the static current is extremely small. But if this product is not used for a long time, it is recommended to remove the battery so as to prevent battery leakage from damaging this product.

Battery Replacement: This product uses 3V manganese or alkaline dry battery (2AAA batteries) for power supply. When the LCD displays    , it indicates low battery capacity, and the battery needs to be replaced as soon as possible to ensure accurate measurement.

  • Precautions:
  • Pay attention to polarity (+ -) when replacing the battery, and take out the battery immediately after it runs down. Failure to do so may lead to damage to the product.
  • Remove the battery when the thermometer will not be used a long time, in order to prevent fluid leakage, which may result in damage to the thermometer.
  • Do not use it when the battery leaks or molds.
  • Do not put the battery close to the fire source or into the fire, in order to prevent battery explosion.
  • Do not store the battery in a hot or humid environment.
  • Do not put the battery and the other metal objects such as coins or keys in the same pocket or other containers that may lead to short circuit to battery.
  • If the electrolyte of the battery accidentally enters the eye, please wash it with plenty of water immediately. If there is a risk of blindness and other injuries, please go to the nearest hospital for treatment immediately.
  • If the electrolyte of the battery accidentally touches the skin or clothes, please wash it with plenty of water immediately, otherwise it may damage the skin.
  • After replacing the components (batteries) or reaching the end of service life, the host might have measurement errors and accuracy deadline. Please dispose it according to local laws and regulations.
  1. Maintenance  

In the usage process, please obey the instructions under any of the following circumstances.

  • External dirt: Wipe the dirt with a piece of clean soft cloth, or wipe the dirt with a cotton swab moistened with medical alcohol, which also has sterilizing effect. Take care not to add too much water or alcohol so as to avoid damageto the inside of this product.
  • Internal dirt: The lens of the internal probe is an important part. Do not touch or press the lens with fingers or other objects, otherwise the accuracy of the measurement values will be affected. When the lens surface is found dirty, please wipe the lens surface with cotton swab moistened with anhydrous alcohol with a purity of more than 95%. Tip: Do not use disinfectant alcohol with a purity of 75%, as traces of residual water are left when the lens is wiped. Do not use other types of chemical reagents to wipe the lens. Otherwise, the lens may be damaged.
  • Storage: Keep this product in a dry and dark place out of direct sunlight.

1. Check the measurement object. Measurement cannot be conducted if the forehead is in a draught, dripping water or after sweating and applying cosmetics, etc.

2. Check the operating environment. Environmental change has great influence on measurement. If the ambient temperature changes too much, or the instrument directly measures a low-temperature object after measuring an ultra-high temperature object, measurement deviation will occur. It should be placed in a relatively stable environment for about 10 minutes to obtain a new test heat balance before use.

3. Check the measurement distance: 1-5cm

No response after pressing buttons

Check whether the tone-setting is off.
